My kids sit forever to read books but how it is written or for whatever reason, the lose interest. I end up summarizing. Love the message BUT there are some wording about how God gave us families etc that feel like some kids could be sad or hurt if they didn't have family or the things listed. (I.e. Explaining what we "need" etc). But think it prob works for most kids,just a few things that I wish were changed. Or maybe just shorter in general.
We trained up our children in the Biblical "way that they should go" and want to make their job with their own children a bit easier than we had it. Giving them good books to use with their children is one way to accomplish this. Stormie Omartian's book explains one of a child's most important decisions they can ever make in a way they can understand and grasp on their level.
Grandkids have yet to let me read through it with them. They just don't like it.
It's a wonderful way to introduce Chris to a child. But it's quite long. Have to wait until my son is old enough to sit through this on.
We love this book, I purchased it for my 3 yr old. We read it every night, its a great way to communicate the gospel. I would make a few changes about how she talks about we need medicine, which we do sometimes, I'd opt for food or other necessary items, otherwise its great. I am very glad I purchased it and am recommending it to friends & family.
I re-purchased this as a gift. GREAT book, GREAT message... It allows the child to decide when they are ready to make a commitment of accepting Jesus' gift. I LOVE this book!
Absolutely love this book because it shares in such a simple way what it means to become a Christian. This is a gem because this is the first children's book that I have found that shares the gospel in a way that children can grasp. I highly recommend for your children and grandchildren!
